Last chance to host your domain for free…

I’ve pushed Google Applications for Domains for a while as a great way to set up your personal Web site so you can get email, calendar, chat, and Google_accounts_1 applications on your domain, for free.  It’s what I use for jasonkolb.com, and I have a half-written post about how to set up your DNS for maximum effectiveness that I haven’t finished yet.  HOWEVER, BusinessWeek Online is reporting that Google is about to start charging a monthly fee for new accounts.

That being said, if you haven’t registered your own domain and set this up yet, GO DO IT NOW!  According to their terms of service, they can’t charge existing beta customers.  But if you wait, it’s about to cost you additional money besides the $12 a year for the domain if you wait any longer, so get on the ball and go register:
